From triangle soup to clean shapes — ready for CAD
Subpixel detects planes, cylinders, circles in messy photogrammetry meshes and auto-groups triangles into real, selectable parts. No retopology. No UV work. Just geometry that speeds you up.
Our method has made a lot of deadlines achieveble

Why people use our photogrammetry solution
01
Fit clean geometry
Replace noisy patches with exact planes, cylinders, circles, spheres.
02
Group by intent
Auto-group triangles into human-logical parts for fast selection/edit.
03
CAD-friendly output
Lighter, structured models to measure, edit, or export to CAD.
Who it’s for
- Reverse engineering & 3D printing prep
- Survey/AEC (facades, urban blocks)
- Manufacturing/CAD labeling & cleanup
- VR/Game pre-cleanup (UVs/retopo still yours)
What it’s not
- Not retopology; no density equalization
- Not UV unwrapping
- Not a texture smoother
Core capabilities
Primitive detection
planes, cylinders, circles, spheres inside noisy meshes.
One-click part selection
select entire logical parts instead of face clusters.
Smart grouping & labels
name, color, and manage parts for handoff.
STRUCTURE FROM CHAOS
turn raw scans into usable, logical parts for CAD, print, or simulation.
Export options
keep the original mesh, or export structured groups for CAD/print/sim.
Open/closed mesh support
works on architectural and mechanical scans
Best use cases
Reverse engineering

Isolate true circular holes and planar faces to rebuild parametric parts much faster in your CAD tool of choice.
AEC / Survey

Turn facades and site elements into manageable parts; simplify noisy planes for measurement and documentation.
Manufacturing prep

Label parts, extract clean references (e.g., hole patterns), and pass structured data downstream without re-doing selection work.
FAQ
Is this retopology?
No. Subpixel sotfware doesn’t rebuild quads or change triangle density. It recognizes and fits clean geometry, then groups triangles into logical parts.
Will it change my textures or UVs?
No. It’s geometry-first. Keep your existing UV/texture workflow.
Does it work on open meshes?
Yes. Both open and closed meshes are supported.
Do I need a GPU monster?
A modern workstation is recommended; no exotic hardware required.
How accurate are the fitted shapes?
We aim for tight, explainable fits to real primitives (e.g., consistent diameters for circles/cylinders). Exact tolerances depend on scan quality.
What can I export?
Your original mesh plus structured groups and labels for downstream editing and CAD workflows.
Will it handle extremely noisy scans?
It can still find primitives, but results improve with reasonable scan quality. Try the demo to see typical outcomes.
